Mark 4 (The parable of the sower) the word of God is what produces fruits so whatever victories I might be looking for; the answer is in God’s word.
1. Distractions to your devotion –this is distractions to your time and focus with God and his word because if we said that the answer is in God’s word and I cannot focus on God’s word, it means I cannot even plant God’s word appropriately and that becomes a problem because a seed that is not properly planted will never grow.
Luke 10:38 Martha the sister of Lazarus had a legitimate reason to be distracted but she did all of that at the expense of one thing that the bible calls ‘Necessary’ meaning that no matter how legitimate the issues might be, the moment it is taking you away from your devotion with him, it is a distraction.
How many times have you woken up and you rushed into business because you had too much to deliver that day and you thought to yourself let me just start off and because of that you were not ready to pray. It is legitimate yes but it is still a distraction because our real source of strength comes from our devotion with him. Isaiah 40:31 “They that wait on the lord shall exchange their weakness with his strength”
2. Distractions to your focus on your destiny – (John 6) when Jesus fed 5000 people with 2 fishes and loaves; they sought to make him king but when he perceived that, he took off because his mission was not to be king on earth. You have to watch out for things that want to distract you as you are making your way toward your destiny and what God has revealed to you. Matt 6:33 “seek ye first the kingdom of God….” meaning that it’s in my focusing on what the kingdom of God is for me and what God wants me to do, that is when am going to get everything else that I need to get.
The supply comes in my focus on what God has asked me to be and to do. As I make that journey, he makes provision.
